Programming Fees Module

This module fully automates the calculation of all of your linear programming fees.


MDS for MVPD calculates all of your subscriber counts by user-defined categories: residential, commercial, bulk, and free subscribers; by electronically transferring the data from your subscriber billing system or other electronic sources. Manual processing is no longer required. The Software works with all 3rd party and in-house billing systems.

    Data is stored and maintained monthly, with easy access to historical data. This facilitates research for programming audits, as well as Programmer inquiries.

    Manage all of your individual Franchise contracts in one database and calculate your Franchise Fees by the municipality based on multi-year terms and specific revenue categories. Remittance reports by period allow you to pay/report on a Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, or Annual basis.

    Create the most accurate projections possible using actual channel lineups, detailed subscriber data by subscriber type (residential, bulk, gratis, and commercial), and license fee terms (which have been entered for the life of the contract)

    Projected channel lineups can be updated for packaging changes, new launches, or new products.

    Budget projections can be made on a monthly or annual basis and can be projected as far out into future years as needed.

    Budget reports can provide total programming cost by month/year, programming cost by package, and projected per subscriber license fees by the network, to name a few.

    The budgeting module can also be used to evaluate potential bulk subscriber deals or new programming packages/products.
